According to the city, this park was originally a gravel mine (like other Seattle parks) owned by Nils Peterson. It was later given to the city by B. F. Day. As to who David Rogers is… I couldn’t find any information. EPACC will meet at 8am on Friday 12th August 2016 at David Rogers Park. Maybe we can find a plaque. Here’s a map.
